MAKE A DIFFERENCE, FOR GOOD

In 2018 the United Nations estimated that the fashion industry accounts for about 10% of global climate impact, emitting more greenhouse gas emissions than the airline and shipping industries combined.

In Australia, 6,000kg of clothing and textiles are dumped in landfill every 10 minutes (ABC, 2023).

To help lower our collective fashion footprint, we empower individuals and fashion retailers to offset the CARBON COST OF CLOTHING.

We encourage everyone to think about the carbon cost of clothing before you buy. For example a polyester t-shirt has a much higher carbon emission cost than a cotton t-shirt. When buying clothing that you genuinely need, please consider offsetting the lifetime carbon cost of that piece of clothing.

Depending on the clothing carbon cost you want to counter, you can choose from a 10kg, 20kg, 30kg or 50kg CARBON OFFSET CERTIFICATE.

Or you can buy our hangers, made in Australia of recycled plastic, which each carry a clothing carbon credit of 30kg - that's more than enough to offset the lifetime carbon cost of a standard garment.

Each of us can lower our fashion footprint by buying less, buying quality, re-using, recycling and for a small amount of money, offsetting the carbon cost of our clothes.

CARBON OFFSET CERTIFICATES

Each piece of clothing we buy has a an environmental cost; a carbon emission cost (CO2-e) which can be measured in kilograms. Lifecycle assessments measure the CO2-e cost of a garment over its lifetime from cradle to grave: resourcing fibres, distribution, use/laundry, to disposal.

By choosing to offset the estimated carbon cost of your clothing, you can counter its environmental impact.

You can lower your fashion footprint, and make a difference.

CARBON OFFSET PROJECTS WE SUPPORT

Our carbon offsets are sourced from genuine projects that either capture emissions from the atmosphere or avoid emissions going into the atmosphere.

We support three projects: one in Australia, one in Borneo Indonesia and one in Brazil. These projects not only reduce carbon emissions but also help build a better world.
